At Bennett Design, one of our core values as a company is to “never lose the fun”. We believe that making room for fun, play and creativity allows us create without fear or restriction. It is in the fun that we connect better as a team, we are happier and also produce more innovative and inspiring work.
An article written by Ramanpreet Kaur shares 6 ways to stay in touch with your inner child and promote joy:
Always Live Like a Child
Celebrate like a kid would. When you are happy, your whole face shows it. Smile whenever you get the chance or opportunity. Life is too short for worries, troubles, and fights. Be the person you were meant to be. Always enjoy the little moments in life.
Follow your Heart
Be only yourself. As always, do what your heart tells you. The heart forever remains child-like whether we choose to grow up or not.
Hold On To Innocence
Innocence and wonder keeps our bodies, hearts, and minds pure from all of the negativity the world throws at us. It gives us reason to be ourselves, without nagging, criticism, or skepticism.
Laugh often
Laugh at every opportunity you can get. Life is too short for chances. So, make the most of them and use laughter as the best medicine to act like a child for the rest of your life.
Simplicity is key
Don’t get caught up in lies, gossip or drama. Keep your thoughts simple and try to focus on the facts.
Stop over-thinking
When we over-think we needlessly stress out our minds and bodies. Don’t drain your mind of the energy when you will need later on for more important things. Over-thinking only leads to negativity and doubts. It does no one good.
In the spirit of Ramanpreet Kaur, we hope you empbrace your inner child (or favourite child for that matter) and enjoy these our staff’s favourite children’s books. We hope you enjoy – and more importantly: Never lose the fun.
